Monday, October 2nd, 2000 -- Seven cyclists biked the Bay Bridge in protest of a wide range of issues. The protest was an emergency response to the veto of SB 1629, "The Good Roads Bill", by Governor Davis on Friday, September 29, and to the US Army Corps of Engineers' rubberstamping of the plan to destroy the existing Bay Bridge (thus removing the capacity for rail) as well as numerous other issues of import. What do we need besides your love and support? Loaner bicycles!!!PHOTOS of the ride (mostly from the Cuff-CamTM).
