I have found the BPD's attitude toward bikers to vary from indifference to
hostile. One incident is particularly galling. After a skateboarder riding
in the street put me in the emergency room I was told a) the accident was
unavoidable, and b) the young man responsible was "very traumatized". The
skateboarder wasn't charged with a damn thing. It took over a year for my
rotator cuff to heal up.
