Tomorrow's ride is a King Cake party on the road to the Mardi
Gras parade, Fat Tuesday, February 20. The theme is BIRTHDAYS. Because
there are at least two being celebrated on the ride. Birthday hats,
suits, and cakes in vogue.
Afterward the film, "An Inconvenient Truth" will collide with the
revelers, at the Long Haul. Gear up to gore down Global Warming,
folks!
The Mardi Gras pardade is a Berkeley Tradition older than Critical Mass

Oh yes: King Cake parties are a phenomenon whereby a cake is served,
and a baby (here, frog, due to the devout worship of same) is found
in one or more pieces, and whomsoever may get a baby *(here, frog)*,
is the lucky host or hostess of a forthcoming party in approximately
one week! At which, another cake shall be served...and the cycle
continues!

Interested in Keeping The Enviroment (B.I.K.E.) Has planned a critical
mass for july 21! The ride will meet at 6pm and leave around 6:15pm in
front of the Hayward City Library! (835 C Street in Hayward) This
Location is easyily accessable from the Hayward bart station
If you like bikes and like to party i encourage you to come out. We
will be riding around the city of hayward to tell people, bikes are
here and we are here to stay!

Celebrate our twelfth year of riding! Berkeley Critical Mass is the longest-running
street demonstration in the East Bay!
There will be a party at The Long Haul infoshop after the ride, as it is also the 17th
anniversary of Slingshot Magazine, a quarterly, independent, radical, newspaper
published in the East Bay since 1988 by the Slingshot Collective.
"After the Berkeley Critical Mass bike ride, join us for vegan
chocolate cake, celebration, dancing, and general craziness. Door
prizes and the first annual Wingnut Nobel Prize for Lifetime
Achievement award will be presented. (The Berkeley CM ride starts at
6:00 pm at the downtown Berkeley BART)."

Another fun feature for the 10th Birthday Party of Critical Mass on March 14:
The Black Tuesday Screen Printing Collective will be printing either of the
two critical mass t-shirt designs for free onto any appropriate pieces of
clothing that massers bring to the post mass party. To get printed, the
garments need to be flat (i.e. no buttons, pockets, seams, texture to the
fabric, etc.) Check your drawer and bring 'em down.
